15-year-old killed Wednesday in Downtown West shooting

Police said the teen was taken to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital by a private vehicle.

ST. LOUIS — A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed Wednesday morning in downtown St. Louis.

According to an incident report from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened at about 5 a.m. on the 1500 block of Lucas Avenue.

Police said a victim with a gunshot wound to his back was dropped off by a private vehicle at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police later identified the victim as Lavincent Robinson.

Video from the scene of the shooting showed at least 18 evidence markers on the ground.
