ST. LOUIS — A 14-year-old boy accidentally shot his 16-year-old accomplice while the pair were trying to carjack a man Monday afternoon in the Fairground neighborhood of St. Louis, police said.
The shooting happened at around 4 p.m. near Bailey and N. Garrison avenues, the police department said in a social media post.
The 16-year-old boy was at the hospital with "stable" vitals. Police did not give further details on his condition.
The 14-year-old was taken into custody.
The man the pair were trying to carjack was not injured, police said.
