ST. LOUIS — A 16-year-old boy was shot Friday evening in St. Louis' Downtown West neighborhood.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said the shooting happened at around 9 p.m. at Spruce and South 14th streets, just south of Enterprise Center.
The teenager was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.
Police had no further details on the boy's condition or suspects.
This is the eighth child to be shot in St. Louis this year, according to 5 On Your Side data. One of those children died of their injuries.
