2 men found shot to death in car in north St. Louis identified

Police identified the victims as Dorian Sims, a 27-year-old man from St. Louis, and Ronnell Hankins, a 28-year-old man from Jennings

ST. LOUIS — Two men were found shot to death inside a car in north St. Louis early Sunday morning.

At 12:19 a.m., the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 5100 block of Maple Avenue in the Academy/Sherman Park neighborhood. Two men, ages 27 and 28, were found dead inside a car with gunshot wounds.

Preliminary investigation revealed they had exchanged gunfire with unknown occupants of a silver car near Dr. Martin Luther King Drive and Hamilton Avenue.

Police identified the victims as Dorian Sims, a 27-year-old man from St. Louis, and Ronnell Hankins, a 28-year-old man from Jennings.
