ST. LOUIS — Two teenagers were shot Wednesday afternoon in north St. Louis.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said the shooting happened shortly after 5 p.m. near Emily Street and Obear Avenue in the city's College Hill neighborhood.
A 15-year-old was found shot in the thigh, foot and leg, police said. A 16-year-old boy who was shot in the chest and arm was put into a private car; the car was heading to the hospital when it came across police at 10th and Pine streets and stopped behind the officers.
Both boys were taken to area hospitals. Police did not immediately have further details on their conditions.
Police did not have further details on the victims' conditions or what led up to the shooting.
