ST. LOUIS — An investigation is underway after a man was shot and killed Friday night in St. Louis’ Lewis Place neighborhood.
At around 9:30 p.m., police were called to Evans and Marcus Avenue for a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man, suffering from a gunshot wound to his back.
He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. He has been identified as 27-year-old Leonard Wilkins.
No other information about the shooting has been released. St. Louis’ homicide division is handling the investigation.
