HAZELWOOD, Mo. — Three people are in custody after they fled from officers following a disturbance and crash in Hazelwood, Missouri.

According to the Hazelwood Police Department, officers responded Tuesday to the 5500 block of Anglum Road for a report of a disturbance at a business. The manager said the disturbance was between an employee and two other individuals. He told police that the individuals left in a silver Hyundai sedan.

Responding officers saw the vehicle leaving the area and attempted to stop them. The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed and crashed into the center median near the intersection of McDonnell Boulevard and Phantom Road, police said.

Two men fled on foot from the vehicle and one woman was taken into custody at the scene.

A perimeter was set up by police and both men were taken into custody in the 500 block of McDonnell Boulevard.

Officers recovered a stolen firearm from the vehicle and one of the men was in possession of a firearm with an extended magazine.

The Hazelwood Police Department has not released any additional information regarding the incident.

An investigation is ongoing.
