ST. LOUIS — St. Louis police are investigating three shootings that left two men dead Sunday.
Shot Spotter—the gunshot detection system—first alerted police to a possible shooting at 5:10 a.m. in the Kingsway West neighborhood. Officers arrived to the 2700 block of Union Boulevard and found a man lying on a parking lot. He had what looked like gunshot wounds on his left side.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. On Monday, he was identified as 41-year-old Derrick Furlow.

At 1:08 p.m., officers were called to the 3400 block of Montgomery in the Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood. A man was found shot in the head. He died at the scene.
He was identified as 28-year-old Dorian Whitlock III.
Police have not released any other details at this time.
At 3:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting in the 5700 block of Page in the Wellston neighborhood. A man had been shot multiple times. He was awake and breathing when emergency crews rushed him to the hospital.
