ST. LOUIS — Four people were arrested Tuesday night after a car stolen from Florissant crashed into a police cruiser in north St. Louis during a pursuit.
The crash happened shortly before 10 p.m. at Goodfellow Boulevard and Natural Bridge Avenue.
Sgt. Charles Wall, a spokesman for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, said Mobile Reserve Unit officers were conducting a "tactical operation" along with Metro Air Support involving a 2015 Chrysler 300 that was stolen out from Florissant.
The Chrysler hit spike strips and then later struck a marked police cruiser on Natural Bridge Avenue near its intersection with Goodfellow Boulevard. The Chrysler flipped on its roof and four suspects were taken into custody.
The suspects were checked out at an area hospital before being booked, Wall said. Two officers were also treated and released for minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
