ST. LOUIS — Four people were shot early Sunday morning in three separate shootings throughout St. Louis, police said.
The first shooting happened at about 2:10 a.m. in the 5700 block of Cote Brilliante Avenue in the city's Wells Goodfellow neighborhood.
Police said a 20-year-old man was shot in the right shoulder and a 27-year-old man was shot in the right foot. The men were possibly shot by people inside a dark-colored sedan. Both men were conscious and breathing when they were taken to a St. Louis hospital.
About five minutes later, a 24-year-old woman was shot in the leg in the 1300 block of Washington Avenue in the Downtown West neighborhood.
Police said she got into an argument with an employee of a restaurant. The employee called her boyfriend, who came to the restaurant and shot the woman as she was trying to leave.
Paramedics treated the woman for her injuries at the scene. The 41-year-old man was arrested without incident, police said.
And at 3:07 a.m., a woman shot a 54-year-old man in the area of South Broadway and Bellerive Boulevard near Bellerive Park in the Carondelet neighborhood.
The man was slumped over the steering wheel of his car when he was shot in the stomach. He drove about two miles to the 3700 block of Jefferson Avenue, where he called police.
The man told officers the woman who shot him was his girlfriend, but he didn't know her name. He was taken by ambulance to a St. Louis hospital, where he was listed in critical condition with stable vital signs.
Police asked anyone with information to call Crimestoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477).
