ST. LOUIS — A man was critically injured Thursday night when he was struck by a stray bullet in St. Louis' Dutchtown neighborhood.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said officers responded at around 7:30 p.m. to the 4100 block of Louisiana Avenue for a report of a shooting. The victim, and 80-year-old man, said he was standing in his kitchen when he was grazed in his arm and began bleeding. A preliminary investigation indicated the bullet entered through his back door.
The man was taken to an area hospital, where he was listed in critical, stable condition, police said.
No suspect information was available. An investigation is ongoing.
