BELLEFONTAINE NEIGHBORS, Mo. — A driver and a juvenile suspect in an attempted carjacking were both shot and injured after exchanging gunfire Monday morning.
Bellefontaine Neighbors police said the shooting happened at about 9 a.m. on Colonnade Meadows Drive. Police said the suspect, a juvenile, tried to force the victim out of the car, but the driver and suspect exchanged gunfire.
According to a department spokesperson, the injuries to both the victim and the suspect were not life-threatening.
Photos and videos from the scene showed a handful of evidence markers on the street and one on the post of a mailbox.
