ST. LOUIS — SWAT teams ended a barricade situation at a St. Louis home, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said.
Officers responded to the scene near 2900 California Avenue Monday morning to reports of an individual flourishing a weapon. A crisis unit was requested near the scene at 2800 Arsenal around an hour after the initial call.
Police closed numerous streets around the scene, including Arsenal and Juniata between Nebraska and Oregon, and Nebraska between Gravois and Juniata.
SWAT entered the house after numerous attempts to make contact with the suspect went unanswered, the department said. They found the man hiding on the first floor and took him into custody. The man was reportedly wanted on felony assault charges.
No one was injured during the situation, police said.
