ST. LOUIS — A man was injured Wednesday evening after a shooting ended in a car crash outside Busch Stadium in downtown St. Louis.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said shots were fired near South Broadway and Market Street. A car crashed into a utility pole near the corner of the Ballpark Heights apartment building at 300 South Broadway.
One man was grazed by a bullet and refused medical treatment, police said. It was unclear if the man was also inside the car that crashed.
The man, who is a convicted felon and had a gun, was detained as police investigated.
Felons are banned from possessing guns in Missouri.
The incident happened during an evening game between the Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
