Man carjacked near south city school Monday morning

ST. LOUIS — An investigation is underway after a man was carjacked near a south city school Monday morning.

Officers responded to the 3100 block of Meramec around 5 a.m. where a 56-year-old man said two men approached him.

Confluence Academy South City is located about a block away from where the incident occurred.

One of the men, who was wearing a surgical mask, pointed a gun at the victim and told him to get on the ground. While he was on the ground, the other man took his wallet from his pants pocket.

Both robbers got into the victim’s car and left the scene.

The victim was not injured.
