CHESTERFIELD, Mo. — A man in Chesterfield is accused of raping a child and then preventing the girl and her mother from leaving the scene of where it happened, according to court documents.
Marco Haro, 50, is charged with statutory rape, kidnapping and armed criminal action. Police said the charges stem from an incident that happened Sunday in Chesterfield.
According to a probable cause statement, Haro raped a girl who was younger than 14 years old. The girl’s mother witnessed the attack and stopped it, police said. When the girl and her mother tried to get away, Haro reportedly blocked the door and wouldn't let them leave while holding a knife in his hand.
Once officers arrived, they were able to safely get away.
Haro is being held without bond.
