EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. — Multiple people were shot early Wednesday morning outside of an East St. Louis.
According to Illinois State Police, East St. Louis police called troopers to the shooting just after 2 a.m. at DaBlitz Sports Bar and Grill, located at 1218 North 9th St. There, two people with bullet-related injuries were pronounced dead at the scene.
Another victim struck by gunfire was taken to an area hospital for treatment, according to ISP.
The victims killed in the shooting were identified as 47-year-old Alexander Matlock and 30-year-old Antonio Patton.
Investigation remained ongoing Wednesday morning.

The Bullet Related Injury Clinic (BRIC) is a community-based clinic in St. Louis that helps people heal after they have been injured by a bullet. The BRIC was established to help people who are discharged from the emergency department after being shot.
