DFS worker kidnapped at knifepoint by Florissant woman, police say

Two DFS employees were at her house as part of an investigation, police said.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A St. Louis County woman is accused of kidnapping a Department of Family Services employee at knifepoint.

Bianca Price, 42, of Florissant, was charged with one count each of first-degree kidnapping, fourth-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action. She is being held on a $75,000 bond.

According to a probable cause statement, officers responded shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 30 in the 6700 block of Champana Lane for a report of a disturbance.

Two DFS employees were at Price's house as part of an investigation, police said. While both were inside, they said Price was hostile and they made the decision to leave.

Once one of the employees was outside, Price grabbed the other employee by her hair before she could exit, pulled her inside and locked the door, the statement said.

The statement said Price then grabbed a knife, stood over the victim and prevented her from leaving.

The victim was able to exit the residence once Price's mother intervened.

When officers arrived on the scene, Price opened the door with a knife in her hand, the statement said.

The St. Louis County Police Department's North County Precinct is leading the investigation.
