ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A man pleaded guilty on Tuesday to five charges in connection with a deadly drive-by shooting that left a man dead in 2020.

Quincey Haulcy, 25, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and multiple other crimes in connection with the death of Terry St. John on Dec. 12, 2020.

Police said they were called to the 400 block of Candle Light Lane near North Lindbergh Boulevard. When they arrived, police found three people suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victims were rushed to the hospital where St. John died a short time later. The others suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

As part of the plea, Haulcy admitted that he pulled alongside Terry St. John’s vehicle at the intersection of Candlelight Lane and N. Lindbergh Boulevard and fired multiple shots. Video from the scene showed about 10 bullet holes in the side of St. John's car.

In all, Haulcy pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, one count of attempted assault and one count of unlawful use of a weapon - shooting at a motor vehicle.

In the days after the shooting, a family member of St. John told 5 On Your Side's Robert Townsend that he was a kindhearted person and an Assistant Manager at Goodwill Industries in Ballwin.

Officers from the Florissant and Hazelwood police departments, troopers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis were involved in the investigation.

A sentencing date was set for Feb. 9.
