Driving school owner charged with sexual abuse of 13-year-old in south St. Louis County

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — The owner of a driving school in south St. Louis County was charged Monday with sexually abusing a 13-year-old boy.

Police said the Haris Vlahovljak, 30, is charged with statutory sodomy of a person less than 14 years of age.

In court documents, according to police the victim said on July 1, Vlahovljak touched him inappropriately. He told this to the children's division, police, family members and at a forensic interview.

The child said Vlahovljak bought him several items, including clothing, electronics and jewelry, police said.

According to neighbors and state business records, Vlahovljak owns the Oakville Driving School on 7822 Sagebrook Court.

Vlahovljak was held on a $300,000 cash-only bond.

County police said they suspect Vlahovljak may have had contact with more victims. The department is asking anyone with more information to contact the St. Louis County Police Department at 636-529-8210 to speak with investigators.
