ST. LOUIS — Several St. Louis police cars were seen outside a popular sushi bar in the Central West End late Sunday night.
Officers were flagged down by witnesses outside the Drunken Fish at 1 Maryland Plaza at about 10:45 p.m. People said they saw a man go into the back of the restaurant, hit the victim in the with a gun and run away.
St. Louis police officers tried to chase down the man, but he got away. Officers found the suspect’s clothes and a BB gun while searching the area.
The 25-year-old victim suffered a cut on his head. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police are investigating the incident as an assault. The suspect is still wanted.
