ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. — The man charged with kidnapping and killing Angie Housman pleaded not guilty in a St. Charles County courtroom Monday morning.
Earl Cox was indicted by a St. Charles County grand jury last month on charges of first-degree murder, first-degree kidnapping and sodomy. A trial date has not been set. Lawyers will meet on Feb. 24, 2020 to decide a date for Cox's trial.
Angie Housman was last seen getting off a school bus on Nov. 18, 1993 less than a block from her home in St. Ann. Nine days later, her body was found in the August A. Busch Memorial Conservation Area. Officials found Angie died of hypothermia.
In October, Cox also was charged with even more reported crimes that took place years before Angie’s death.

He was indicted by a grand jury in St. Louis County on four additional counts of sodomy involving a victim younger than 14 years old. The crimes reportedly happened between 1987 and 1991.
In June, he also was charged with two new counts of sodomy in connection with a case that dates back to 1987.
