WEST ST. LOUIS COUNTY – The owner of the Elephant Bar chain of restaurants announced a security breach affecting locations in seven states including the location near West County Center in St. Louis County.
According to the notice sent to customers, the restaurant company recently became aware of the breach that affects the credit and debit information of any card used from Aug. 12 through Nov. 24.
The company said the stolen information did not include social security or address information, but they are encouraging people to be vigilant of potential identity theft, and the BBB said anyone affected may want to get a new credit or debit card.
Other states affected by the security breach were Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico and Florida.
