Major Case Squad activated to investigate fatal St. Ann shooting

Police said the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis has been activated to investigate the shooting.

ST ANN, Mo. — The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis has been activated to investigate a shooting that left a man dead overnight.

St. Ann police responded shortly after midnight Saturday to a fatal shooting on the 10000 block of Douglas Court. Officers found a man on the porch of a residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. 

He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The victim was identified Sunday as Terrance Washington, 32, of St. Ann.  

No further information on the shooting was available as of Sunday night. 

An investigation is underway.

Cure Violence is an international organization that has recently launched in a handful of St. Louis neighborhoods. Violence interrupters are trained to deescalate violent situations within their own communities.
