SPRINGFIELD, Missouri — The father of a bullied Missouri junior high student was charged Wednesday with making a terrorist threat after allegedly saying he would shoot everyone in the school office, police said.

Kenneth Hicks, 35, was arrested Tuesday after authorities were contacted by a Kum N Go employee who reported that Hicks had come into the store the previous night and complained Ozark Junior High School in Springfield was not doing enough in response to his son being bullied, the Springfield News-Leader reported.

A probable cause statement said Hicks allegedly told the employee that he was a bounty hunter and was not afraid of going to prison.

Hicks was being held in the Christian County Jail on $100,000 bond and did not have an attorney listed for this case.

The school went on lockdown Tuesday because of the alleged threat.
