FERGUSON, Mo. — Detectives from the Ferguson Police Department are searching for suspects after a man was found lying dead in a parking lot at Forestwood Park on Saturday, the city's police department said.
Officers arrived at the scene around 4:30 p.m. after getting multiple 911 calls, the department said. They found the body of the man with injuries in the park's parking lot.
Police have not yet released the identity of the man. They have also not described the type of injuries the man had.
Detectives are onsite gathering evidence, the department said.
"Obviously, we are saddened at any loss of life, no matter how it occurs," Ferguson Police Department Chief Troy Doyle said. "Our department is launching a thorough investigation, and we encourage anyone with information about this incident to call us at (314) 522-3100."
