ST. LOUIS — A woman was carjacked at gunpoint after attempting to deliver food in north St. Louis, police said.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to a report of a carjacking around 4:30 a.m. in the 4900 block of Alcott Avenue in the city's Walnut Park East neighborhood.
Police said a 34-year-old woman in a 2016 Honda Fit was attempting to deliver food in the area when she realized the address was a vacant property.
The victim told police she saw two men approach her from the side of the residence, demanding her to get away from the car at gunpoint. She complied with their request. The two suspects then entered the car and fled, police said.
The car was later found vacant in the 5000 block of Plover Avenue.
