ST. CHARLES, Mo. -- The former treasurer of the St. Charles High School booster club admits she stole thousands of dollars she was supposed to be safeguarding.

Jane Windorski, 45, pleaded guilty to felony theft and was sentenced to five years of probation. She must pay back the $10,877 she took from the club last year.

The money was to be used for a drug and alcohol free graduation party for the senior class. But instead, authorities say Windorski blew the money gambling and spending it on herself.

Thanks to generous donations, the party went on as scheduled.
