O'FALLON, Ill. — Former St. Louis Rams linebacker Dana Howard this week was indicted by federal authorities for pandemic loan fraud.
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Illinois said it charged Dana Howard and two other men with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and two counts of wire fraud. Howard also faces charges for making a false statements, two counts of bankruptcy fraud and three counts of willful failure to pay taxes.
The charged associates of Howard, 52, were Richard Scott Meyers, 63 and of Edwardsville, and Glenn Sunnquist, 53 and of Swansea. The feds listed an O'Fallon, Illinois, residency for Howard, who played for the Rams in 1995 and played college football at the University of Illinois.
Howard and Meyers co-owned construction firm Zoie LLC and freight firm Zade Trucking, both in East St. Louis, the feds said. Sunnquist was a bookkeeper for the businesses.
