Man critically injured in Fountain Park neighborhood shooting

ST. LOUIS — A man was critically injured in a shooting Tuesday afternoon in St. Louis' Fountain Park neighborhood. 

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident happened shortly after 3 p.m. in the 4900 block of Hodiamont Tracks, near North Euclid Avenue.

A 34-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and transported to an area hospital in critical condition, police said. In an update on Wednesday, police said the shooting victim was still in critical condition with unstable vital signs.

The Homicide Division is handling the ongoing investigation. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call homicide detectives at 314-444-5371 or leave an anonymous tip with CrimeStoppers at 866-371-8477
