WASHINGTON, Mo. — A former employee of Hoffmann Hillermann’s Nursery and Florist is facing charges for allegedly misusing company money.
According to the Washington County Police Department's report submitted to the Franklin County Prosecutor's Office on Wednesday, Victoria Denise Missey is currently facing charges for taking more than $150,000 from the nursery.
The police investigation found that Missey misappropriated funds to pay her own daily expenses such as rent, insurance and utilities. Investigators said she also purchased luxury items that included designer brand clothes, shoes, luggage, cash advances, purchased gift cards and cash cards.
At this time, the charges for Missey include fraudulent use of a credit card and fraudulent procurement of a credit or debit device, according to the Washington County Police Department. There are additional charges expected.
A judge set Missey's bond at $150,000.
