Bullets fly through north St. Louis home after shots fired at vigil

A 15-year-old girl girl was grazed. She told police a large group was holding a vigil nearby when one of the members of the group fired several shots into her home.

ST. LOUIS — A 15-year-old girl was injured in a shooting Halloween night in north St. Louis.

St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said the incident happened just before 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Thekla and Oriole Avenues in the Walnut Park East neighborhood in north St. Louis. St. Louis paramedics responded after a 15-year-old girl was grazed in the shoulder by a bullet inside a home.

The girl said a large group was holding a vigil nearby when one of the members of the group fired several shots into her home. Several shell casings were recovered as crime scene investigators processed the scene.

There is no further information regarding the incident at this time.
