ST. LOUIS – A man was ambushed by three young people as he climbed the stairs to his front porch. It was all caught on his Ring Doorbell surveillance cameras.
The video shows a man in his 80’s standing on his front porch when three teenagers approach him and point a gun in his direction.
He calls out to his wife to “bring out the gun,” and the three suspects quickly run off in the direction of Halliday and Compton. The homeowner called St. Louis Police, who told him they would be stepping up patrols in the neighborhood.
“It's like a kick in the stomach in a way,” said Josh Burbridge, who lives next door. “It doesn’t necessarily change the way that I feel like I'm going to be out in my neighborhood, because things happen in St. Louis, but it is a real bummer.”
