Police name man shot, killed inside his north St. Louis County home

DELLWOOD, Mo. — A man was shot and killed on New Year's Day inside his north St. Louis County home.

According to a release from the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis, the North St. Louis County Police Cooperative received a report at about 6:50 p.m. Monday regarding a person shot inside a home on South Schlueter Avenue in Dellwood. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot multiple times.

Investigators named the victim in a Tuesday morning release. He was Keith Usery, a 44-year-old Dellwood resident. He died in his home.

The shooting victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and the Major Case Squad was activated at the request of county police.

No other information about the victim or what led up to the shooting was available as of Tuesday morning.
