ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — Detectives with the St. Louis County Police Department Crimes Against Persons Unit are investigating after a teen was shot and killed Sunday night.
Police said officers from the North County Precinct responded at about 11:30 p.m. Sunday to a 911 call after a ShotSpotter alert originated from the 10800 block of Lilac Avenue in St. Louis County.
Arriving officers found that there had been a shooting at the location.
Shortly after, officers were told that a man arrived at an area hospital and died. Police believed he had been shot on Lilac Avenue.
Police identified the victim Tuesday as 18-year-old Davion Lanear of St. Louis.
The investigation was ongoing.
