ST. LOUIS — Homicide detectives with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating after a man was found shot to death in north St. Louis early Wednesday morning.
According to an incident report from the police department, officers were called to the intersection of Kossuth and Turner avenues at about 12:30 Wednesday morning for a report of the shooting. When they arrived, they found a man on the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at an area hospital a short time later.
Homicide detectives were called in to handle the ongoing investigation.
Video from the scene showed detectives looking inside a sedan at the scene of the shooting while police tape closed off the street.
