ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department called homicide investigators to the scene of a fatal Monday night shooting in north St. Louis.
Police identified the victim on Wednesday as 24-year-old Lonnell Richardson of St. Louis.
Police said the incident happened shortly before 9:30 Monday night in the 5400 block of Arlington Avenue in the Mark Twain neighborhood. Responding officers found Richardson with a gunshot wound in the front yard of a home. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
As of Wednesday, the suspect was unknown. An investigation is ongoing.
