EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. — Illinois State Police is asking for the public's help identifying a person of interest in a December homicide in East St. Louis.
ISP released surveillance footage Thursday showing a person of interest in the death of 47-year-old Dariell Braddix.
The East St. Louis Police Department requested ISP's help on Dec. 5 after Braddix was found fatally shot on the 600 block of South 15th Street.
Surveillance footage showed a masked person wearing all black and carrying a white bag while walking down the street.
Police are asking anyone with information to call CrimeStoppers at 314-725-8477(TIPS) or ISP Special Agent Shaun Dannenbrink at 618-301-0807. Witnesses can stay anonymous.

Cure Violence is an international organization that is present in a handful of St. Louis neighborhoods. Violence interrupters are trained to de-escalate violent situations within their own communities.
