ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Friday morning, a circuit court judge handed down his sentence for a man convicted of committing a murder as a teen.
LeDale Nathan Jr. was sentenced to eight life sentences stacked on top of one another, plus 120 years, for his role in a 5-year-old murder in the LaSalle Park Neighborhood.
Nathan killed Gina Stallis, a nurse and mother of two, during a home invasion. He also injured St. Louis Police officer Isabella Lovadina.

Nathan was originally given an automatic life sentence without parole for the crime. But, the U.S. Supreme Court recently declared automatic life sentences for juveniles "unconstitutional" requiring the need for a new sentencing hearing.
His sentence was vacated last month.
"It's very frustrating because every time these victims have to get back on the stand and talk about what happened to them, they literally relive that night," said Beth Orwick, the attorney who represented Nathan's victims.
But, she said she was pleased by the judge's new sentence on Friday.
"I think what happened today was justice," Orwick said.
The state parole board still has to determine whether Nathan is eligible for parole. That hearing will be at a later date.
