KIRKWOOD, Mo. — A massage therapist is accused of sexually abusing a client while working at a Kirkwood day spa.

Prosecutors charged Jon Lindbergh, 24, Friday with one felony count of sodomy and two misdemeanor counts of sexual abuse.

Kirkwood Police said the incident happened on Sept. 24 while Lindbergh was working at the MassageLuXe, located at the Kirkwood Commons on 1246 South Kirkwood Road.

Officers said while the victim was getting a post-partum massage, Lindbergh touched her in private areas without consent and the victim was "paralyzed with fear."

Lindbergh is being held on a $100,000 cash-only bond. His next court appearance has not been scheduled yet.

During a police interview, Lindbergh claimed the inappropriate touches may have happened due to his "big hands."

Nicholas Williams, a lawyer representing Lindbergh released this statement:

“Mr. Lindbergh, a trained and licensed massage therapist for more than a year, denies the charges and looks forward to his day in court.”

Police said if anyone has had similar incidents with Mr. Lindbergh, please contact Detective Dave Elliott at 314-822-5879, or the Kirkwood Police Department at 314-822-5858.
