LADUE, Mo. — A woman is accused of hitting her brother with a vehicle after being cut off financially from her family.

Valerian Mills is facing one count of second-degree assault.

In court documents, Ladue police said on Nov. 8, 2023, Mills' brother was riding his bicycle on Clayton Road when he was struck by Mills' vehicle.

Police said the brother rode the same route almost daily and believe Mills knew this.

Police said before the assault, the brother texted Mills, telling her she was cut off financially from the family, meaning she would lose $40,000 per month.

Police said the brother had multiple lacerations, a concussion and internal bleeding from being struck.

Mills was ordered to appear in court on Nov. 26.
