ST. LOUIS — A 29-year-old man is facing charges after police said he stole a woman's car at gunpoint in south St. Louis Friday night.
Deionte Grice, 29, was charged with robbery, armed criminal action and two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm after he allegedly robbed a woman at gunpoint on Jan. 5.
According to an incident report, a woman was standing outside her car on the 5300 block of Devonshire at around 10:30 p.m. Police said she was approached by Grice who was armed and demanded the victim's property.
The incident report said she handed over her keys, and Grice drove off in her car.
St. Louis police said the department's Real Time Crime Center helped track down the car, which was found empty inside of Forest Park. The Real Time Crime Center was able to track Grice to a Metro Bus near the intersection of Forest Park and DeBaliviere.
Police stopped the bus and arrested Grice, who had two guns on him at the time of the arrest.
The St. Louis Prosecuting Attorney's Office charged Grice Saturday. Grice is being held without bond.
