COLLINSVILLE, Ill. — A man was charged Thursday in connection with the September 2017 armed robbery of Casino Queen.
Daryl V. Muhammad, a 42-year-old Georgia man, was charged with armed robbery and aggravated battery for his alleged role in the robbery that left a security guard shot.
Illinois State Police said three men with rifles entered the casino at 2:51 a.m. on Sept. 17, 2017, and fired shots, injuring a security guard. The guard was taken to the hospital and survived the shooting. Nobody else was injured.
Daryl V. Muhammad's bond was set at $1 million. He was arrested by the U.S. Marshal's Service in Marietta, Georgia, and is awaiting transportation to Illinois.
