ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A 22-year-old man in prison for a 2021 murder is now facing additional charges in the shooting death of a woman on New Years Eve in 2020.

Prosecutors on Wednesday charged Treshawn Fox with first-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of armed criminal action in the death of Chrishell Fulton. Fox is currently serving a 15-year sentence at the state prison in Bonne Terre for the 2021 killing of 15-year-old Teshawn Ford.

Fulton was shot and killed on Dec. 31, 2020, after she crashed into a black Lexus on Shepley Drive in north St. Louis County. Prosecutors initially charged the driver of the Lexus in her murder after three witnesses identified him as the shooter, but St. Louis County police confirmed those charges were dropped six months later.

During the investigation, police found Facebook messages between Fox and the driver of the Lexus wherein Fox asked the driver if police found his gun or cell phone at the crime scene.

An autopsy linked a bullet found in Fulton's body and shell casings at the scene with a gun found in a Chevrolet Impala that was parked near the scene. Fox's DNA was found on the gun's magazine, police said.

Fox's bond was set at $500,000.
