Police release photo of suspect in St. Charles shooting

Police said the shooter left the scene in a tan or silver passenger vehicle with damage to the windshield and passenger side of the vehicle.

ST CHARLES, Mo. — Police are looking for a man they said was involved in a shooting in St. Charles Thursday afternoon.

A spokesman for the St. Charles Police Department said the shooting happened just after 3 p.m. outside an apartment building near North Fourth Street and Barthel Avenue.

The spokesman said the 24-year-old victim and the shooter got into an argument when the shooting happened. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. He was expected to survive.

Police said they are looking for the shooter, who ran off and may have driven away in a tan or silver passenger vehicle with damage to the front windshield and passenger side of the vehicle. Police said he was caught on a nearby surveillance camera. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 636-949-3300.
