UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. — A man was shot and killed at a Circle K in University City Saturday afternoon, the city's police department said.
The victim was shot near Hanley Road and Olive Boulevard while sitting inside a white Buick sedan with tinted windows, officers said. Police report that the victim "abruptly exited the car" after the shooting happened.
The sedan reportedly drove away from the scene traveling westbound on Olive Boulevard after the shooting, leaving the victim's body behind.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was later pronounced dead.
Police have not yet shared the victim's identity.
