Man killed woman in dollar store parking lot over $36 TV, charging documents say

Brian Clay was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon and armed criminal action for his alleged involvement in shooting death and robbery of Loreal Goode in the parking lot of a Family Dollar.

JENNINGS, Mo. — A convicted felon is facing murder and robbery charges after police said he shot and killed a woman Wednesday afternoon over a TV pawned for $36.

Brian Clay, 42, was charged with first-degree murder. first-degree robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon and armed criminal action for his alleged involvement in shooting death and robbery of Loreal Goode in the parking lot of a Family Dollar Wednesday afternoon.

Charging documents said Goode refused to give Clay $36 and drive him to a pawn shot to get a TV he pawned. When she refused, he shot her in the head and took her cell phone, bank card and car, the charging documents alleged.

The charging documents said Clay was convicted of second-degree robbery and second-degree assault in St. Louis County in 1995.
