MANCHESTER, Missouri — A man was found dead inside a Manchester home Wednesday afternoon after his son walked into the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and turned himself in.
Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak said that at around noon, a 41-year-old man entered their lobby and suggested he committed a crime against a relative.
The sheriff's department notified Manchester police, who performed a wellness check at a home on the 100 block of Baxter Heights Court, where they found the man's father dead.
Manchester police did not say how the man died, but confirmed they are investigating the death as a suspected homicide.
The man's son was detained by the sheriff's office until he could be released to Manchester police.
Neither man's name has been released.
