ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis woman is accused of attacking a store manager after being upset over her fast food order.

Talanye Carter, 41, is facing one count of second-degree assault and one count of fourth-degree assault.

St. Louis police said on July 16, Carter was at the Jack in the Box at 4111 Lindell Boulevard when she complained about a missing chicken strip from an order she got last Saturday.

Police said the store manager replaced the chicken strip, but Carter was unhappy with the lack of ranch dressing and spat in the manager's face.

The department said as Carter left the restaurant, the manager used a different exit to note Carter's license place. When Carter noticed the manager, she ran into the manager's shoulder and said, "You're trying to get charges put on me?"

Police said Carter got into her vehicle, reversed and accelerated backward into the manager, striking her left foot and ankle and throwing her to the ground.

Carter was arrested the next day on July 17. Police said the manager's ankle was swollen and bruised from being run over by the vehicle.

Both parties agreed to a reduced bond where Carter is released on personal recognizance. She is not allowed to have contact with the victim and must stay away from the Jack in the Box.

A preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 20.

In Missouri, second-degree assault has a penalty of up to seven years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. fourth-degree assault has a penalty of up to one year in jail and a fine of up to $2,000.
