ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — Four months after the murder of her son, a St. Louis County mom said the tragedy has made her homeless.
"I can't get myself out of bed most days. Most days I'm crying for the first five hours I'm awake,” Bria Dorsey said.
Her 16-year-old son, RJ, was shot and killed outside his grandmother’s house in south St. Louis County in July. Police haven’t arrested anyone.

"RJ was the best. He made us all laugh,” his mom said.
RJ was a standout basketball player at Bayless High School, and his mom said at 6-foot-6, he stood out off the court, too.
"He made all of our lives better, so that's why we're out here. We don't know what to do anymore,” she said.
Bria said her grief cost her her job, and without work, she lost her home.
She’s living out of her car, crashing at a different friend’s house each night, she said.
"Like last night I went to church, and I didn't tell anybody I didn't have anywhere to stay,” she said.
Bria said any strength she has left comes from her faith.
"It's the only thing that's gotten me through is this faith,” she said.
And the will to get justice for her son. She’s holding out hope someone will come forward with information about his killer.
"If there's no one to testify, we're not going to get anything solved,” she said.
St. Louis County Police say RJ's case is still an active investigation. Anyone with information about what happened is asked to give them a call.
Bria said she wants to create a nonprofit in honor of her son to provide free sports and dances for families.
